Dino Riders Pachycephalosaurus

pachy1

I’ve given you guys a little break from Dino Riders toys but it couldn’t last forever. I’m back today with another dinosaur loaded down with weapons from Tyco, the Valorian Pachycephalosaurus and the heroic rider, Tagg.

pachy2The pachy has a very thick skull perfect for headbutting and Tyco applied that whole idea well to the Dino Riders pachy.

This is another wonderfully detailed dinosaur in the line and is one of my favorites of the smaller sized Dino Riders toys.

pachy4 pachy5Tyco did a really cool thing with the Pachycephalosaurus to make use of its extra bony head. The pachy can balance itself fully upright or leaning forward with the deadly thick skull ready for attack. Tagg’s seat is made to move forward or backward as the pachy moves so he can still be seated looking forward. It’s a pretty simple, yet neat, trick.

pachy6It’s a small thing but I really like the eyes Tyco gave most of the dinosaurs in Dino Riders. They may not be 100% accurate (or they might be, I’m no scientist!) but they look great.

Even without any weapons the Pachycephalosaurus is a good looking dinosaur toy. The rough skin and subtle color changes throughout the body add up to a nice looking dino.

pachy8The pachy falls in at a pretty decent size. It’s obviously no T-Rex or Brontosaurus but it’s larger than the rest of the smaller sized dinos.

pachy9pachy10The variation in size between the dinos really increases the appeal of a display full of Dino Riders toys. Each one sticks out in its own way.

The Dino Riders are really adding up here at Doom Kick and we’re glad to have them. They don’t get alot of coverage and we are happy to bring them to you.

Thanks to your reviews I have seen toys I didn’t even know they got around to making. I remember the cartoon episode with this Dinosaur in it but never seen the toy.
