Our Second review for Cobra Trooper Wednesday is the 30th anniversary Cobra Trooper. This is a great figure that comes with some great accessories and features. Lets take a look at the Cobra Trooper.

According to the file card: One of the nameless, faceless legions of the Cobra organization. Each Cobra Trooper is highly skilled in the use of explosives, infantry weapons, sabotage and the martial arts. They swear absolute loyalty to their leader, Cobra Commander. Their goal is to conquer the world for their own evil purposes.

This figure just looks great with plenty of detail packed into him. He has a few Cobra logo tampos on him which is always plus in my book. He has a place to store most of his gear. His helmet is removable showing the close cropped haircut underneath. I bought two of these guys when they came out for army building and I wish I had bought a few more to bolster the ranks a little bit, but I’m sure we will be seeing new releases of Cobra Troopers whenever Hasbro gets back to making non movie Joes again.

Paint on my Cobra Troopers is solid, with both of them looking clean and nice. The only real issue I have with them is that their helmets are molded in a flesh tone and painted blue, but no on the underside so if you take the helmet off you are looking at a strange flesh colored inside. Other than that small issue the Cobra Trooper looks great, the Cobra logo tampos look very good and stand out well on the almost all blue trooper. Most of his body is molded either blue or black which helps in keeping the figure looking clean.

The Cobra Trooper comes with several accessories, the standard issue black figure stand, a RPG, a pistol with silencer, a knife and a assault rifle. The pistol and silencer and knife have a holster/sheathe on his leg, but other wise there is no place to store the rest of his weapons. I have found that you can plug the RPG into the hole in his back and slide the rifle through the web gear for storage so you don’t have to load him up with a gun in each hand if you don’t want to.

Articulation on the Cobra Trooper is great! He has the swivel/hinge elbows, ankles and shoulders, ball jointed head with great movement, the ab joint, ball jointed hips, double jointed knees and swivel/hinges at the wrists one of which goes up and down and one goes left and right. Like most Joes he is very poseable.

Overall This is one of my favorite figures in the 30th line (And before that POC) and if you are a Cobra fan you should definitely track some of these guys down.
