Lore: The Shadow of War

Prince Algor sat in silence. His room lit only by candles that cast a warm glow reflecting off the Prince’s slick skin. Astral communication was a new technique the Slime Elder Magi had taught him to keep in contact with them, and as Algor’s body sat safely in the tower of the Royal Castle of Slime City his astral form was conferring with the Magi and the Voice of the Gods. The drums of war had been beating louder and louder as Baron Dracktholm and Master Boshak grew their army larger by the day. The roads of Jalldoon were littered with raiding bandits, and fear was at an all-time high. The Voice had explained all this to Algor, but now the need for heroes was rising so action must be taken. The sun was shining above Hawkstorm Keep, and the creatures of Frogmire Marsh buzzed all around as the Slime Knights trained in the walled off courtyard, but inside the small castle, the air itself seemed to be somber as Prince Algor and Toron prepared for a journey to the Lair of the Slime Elder Magi. After their encounter with Quazarec in Bakurados Bay, the two Slimes had plenty of time to talk on the return trip, and Toron had told Algor EVERYTHING…The darkness inside Algor, his questions about the Magi, and the strange Skeleton Idols. Algor had a lot of questions, but Toron had little answers so they decided to pay a visit to Magi.

Lore: Evil finds a way: Part 1

The lights swirled into view as Boshak regained consciousness . A rapping on his chamber door had pulled him out of the astral planes, and back to his room atop the Dark Citadel. Making his way to the door the Slime was annoyed “Who dares disturb my meditations? I left explicit Instructions to not be bothered” he snarled as the door opened to reveal the cowering form of Jelgon, his most loyal servant who stammered a bit before answering “s..s..sorry Master I told the Baron you was in here learning all that Magic stuff, but he said it was of the umtoast importance to summon you” . Boshak was disgusted at the idiocy of his minion “It’s utmost importance you simpering fool” he spat at Jelgon before adding “tell the Baron I’ll be on my way with haste” as he slammed the door in Jelgon’s face. Organizations: The Covenant of Crowns

Many generations ago a cabal of one hundred Generals plotted to conquer the entire Planet Jalldoon in what is known as the Great War. Each of these generals brought an army of one thousand soldiers, and with the largest force ever assembled began eliminating Kings, Queens, Emperors, Sultans, and any other rulers spread out across the Planet. As news traveled of this the various royalty of Jalldoon banded together in what would become known as the Covenant of Crowns. Even one hundred Generals with one thousand soldiers each is no match for the combined armies of Jalldoon, and after the war was over these leaders gathered and decided for the sake of the entire Planet laws must be put in place to prevent forces gathering in a bid to control all of Jalldoon.  Continue reading “Organizations: The Covenant of Crowns”

Lore: The Bronze God of Bakurados: Part 2

Continued from part 1

She knew it wasn’t considered “polite”, but the little girl continued to stare up at the motionless being for what seemed like ages. Levitating several feet above the ground, the creature in turn stared silently at the one tree that grew near the cliff edge. They were about a mile from shore, along a tall ridge away from the fishing villages on the outskirts of Bakurados Bay. The ancient, twisted tree stood on the tallest outcropping, and the little girl would sometimes come there alone to play. A large, purple-armored man hovering in front of the tree was not something she was expecting. Continue reading “Lore: The Bronze God of Bakurados: Part 2”

Lore: The Bronze God of Bakurados: Part 1

The carriage wheels squeaked on the dirt road as Toron looked out the window. He could see the large gates of Bakurados Bay in front of them as the ride pulled to a stop. Algor hopped out and started grabbing their packs from the back as he looked up at the massive wall surrounding the city before them. Finishing the last of his ale, Toron joined his companion as they marveled at the spires reaching towards the sky just beyond. The two Slimes had come to the Bay city to accept a shipment of weapons coming from Gato. Continue reading “Lore: The Bronze God of Bakurados: Part 1”
