Organizations: The Northern Mountain Clan

Hailing from the Frozen North the Mountain Clan were some of the best craftsmen in the early days of Primordial Jalldoon. They believed only those who could craft great weaponry and armor should rule the lands. They looked down upon the other Slimes with great disdain which led to their brutality on the battlefield. The Northern Mountain Clan worshiped only power.

Kernels of Knowledge: Birth of the Garden Knight

It was a beautiful Jalldoonian day as Jastier Marcel stretched and got out of bed. He ran his fingers through his beard as he shuffled to his closet. The early morning sun glistened through his windows as he dressed. He was thinking about the omelet he was going to make with some of the Strider eggs as he opened his door, and the warm sun hitting his face was the last pleasant thought Jastier Marcel ever had. The scene outside sent the farmer to his knees. Everything was dead. His crops, his animals, the trees and weeds even…all dead. Blackness surrounded him and the ground nearby. Crushed at losing his livelihood Jastier wept, but he heard what sounded like a group of people up the road so he went over to see if anyone knew what had happened. As he crested the hill he saw a group near the plot of land marked out for the new headquarters of Karnok Brewing… a construction Jastier had vehemently fought against, but money as always wins out in the end.

One For The Road: The Barkeep’s Tale

Oliver snapped awake with a jump. The sun was shining on another Jalldoon morning as the birds sang outside his window, but the Gatonian was still troubled by his nightmare. All of Gato was engulfed in flames as he stood by helplessly watching it burn. Shocktroopers working for Baron Dracktholme ran Gatonians down, killing with no remorse. Even though it was just a dream he couldn’t help but think it was more of a portent than something he should brush off. It all felt so real, so clear. Either way here and now was real, and soon he’d need to be at the Faulty Compass to start preparing the tavern for the day. He ran his claws through his black fur as he cleaned his sharp fangs in the mirror before slipping on a clean tunic and his apron.

Chapter 15: The God Wipe

Continued from Chapter 14

The wind sang through the branches of the trees in Morgunborg Wood as they swayed peacefully making Grar’s whiskers twitch instinctively. The Gatonian had been sent to investigate the Tree of Love, the supposed home of the Goddess Dragostia the Divine. A few days earlier the excitement at Hawkstorm Keep had ramped up considerably, Prince Algor had apparently returned from space with a ball named Terry, the mighty Quazarec had shown up possessed by some kind of Daemon, and apparently, Baron Dracktholme was…stealing Gods? The Slimes had summoned all their allies to the Keep and explained the situation. To fight this evil they would need to spread across the planet to try and find some of the Gods that remained if any.

Chapter 14: The Return of Quazarec

Continued from Chapter 13

Written by Sanjeev Selvaraj

Several delicate instruments on his workbench suddenly became airborne as the heavy wooden door to Toron’s laboratory burst open without warning. The old slime had just installed that lock, which now lay in pieces on the floor. He sighed, then turned slowly to see an out-of-breath Slime Knight standing awkwardly in the doorway. “Lieutenant Globar. What can I do for you?”, Toron fumed. “Toron…we have a…I mean, there’s a…well, you better come outside!” The slimes wound their way through the halls of Hawkstorm Keep and out to the courtyard where there seemed to be a commotion. As his eyes adjusted to the daylight, Toron’s face lit up upon hearing a familiar voice. This reaction didn’t last, however, as he immediately sensed something wrong.
