The sun was shining above Hawkstorm Keep as Algor and Ziggy lounged on the grass just outside the gates. Algor munched on a ripe bunch of Glowberries, as Ziggy sloppily lapped up a bucket filled with table scraps from the kitchens. It had been a much-needed lazy afternoon for the young Prince. Algor in his Slime form was soaking up the sun, and enjoying the relaxation. The Slime Elder Magi had taught the Prince a chant that would help calm the darkness infecting him “Zar da la lantus”, and as he said it over and over he could almost feel the evil power within contracting itself. It felt good to have some control over the force infecting him, and soon the Magi would have a way to remove it…hopefully. Drifting off in the early afternoon sun Algor was startled alert by the footsteps of Sir Vandi the Slime Knight.

The moons cast their soft glow upon the streets of Karnok as Thulf walked down the uneven cobblestone road weaving through the market district. It had been a quiet Knight for the Cityguard, and he was eagerly awaiting passing by the taverns to grab a flask of Grog. He barely heard the soft rustle of fabric in the alley to his left, but he couldn’t miss the unmistakable death rattle of some unfortunate soul he heard from a few stalls down. Thulf spun around, drawing his sword as he ran back towards the alley. As he made his way between the stacked crates and barrels he heard a light tapping on the roof above, but he was too distracted by what his lantern had revealed! Slumped against the alley wall was a corpse, a corpse that appeared to have been there quite some time based on how incredibly dried out it looked. Thulf pulled his bell from his belt and started ringing it to alert the rest of the Cityguard to his position as he wondered if this would get him a bonus from his superiors. Unfortunately for Thulf, he wouldn’t be doing much of anything after what felt like a sack of bricks landed on top of him. Thulf’s last thought in this world was just how dry he felt…

Juice of Life: The Shocktrooper’s Story
The dream is always the same. I’m in a village with a family, and I’m happy… so very happy. Until the Shocktroopers show up and pull me screaming from my home. I see my wife bleeding on the floor of our hut as they start for my son. I struggle, so one of them hits me with his shock baton…everything goes to black.

The Journal of Edmond Crawsly entry 185:
After the adventure in the jungle Merrick and I had started back towards civilization, and after an uneventful trip back to Karnok I was still anxious about what we had seen, but I was feeling good. My time with Merrick had so far been eventful, to say the least, and I was learning many things that would serve me well as a BattleMage in the future. As we entered Karnok the city guards nodded at Merrick as we passed, and I started thinking about how little I knew about my mentor here. In our limited time together Merrick had proven to know quite a few powerful people of Jalldoon, and after keeping my eyes open I noticed every guard we passed would nod at him. Who was Merrick?

After landing servants brought them to the Compound of High Imperator Ondska where they would be staying for the next three days. Most of the royals in attendance would have suites on site, but the Imperator’s estate took up nearly half of the western quadrant of the large island. High walls met at a large gate emblazoned with the Ondska Empire’s seal. As the large metal gates swung open the Imperator and his entourage awaited them, and Boshak admired his long blood-red robes, and while he was an old man he looked strong enough still to hold his own in battle. As the Imperator hugged his nephew he quickly ushered the entire party inside the estate. At the doors of his mansion, he turned towards the crowd of people, and with a simple “leave us” the entourage dispersed leaving the Baron and his Shocktrooper guards alone with Ondska.

The lights swirled into view as Boshak regained consciousness. A rapping on his chamber door had pulled him out of the astral planes, and back to his room atop the Dark Citadel. Making his way to the door the Slime was annoyed “Who dares disturb my meditations? I left explicit Instructions to not be bothered” he snarled as the door opened to reveal the cowering form of Jelgon, his most loyal servant who stammered a bit before answering “s..s..sorry Master I told the Baron you was in here learning all that Magic stuff, but he said it was of the umtoast importance to summon you” . Boshak was disgusted at the idiocy of his minion “It’s utmost importance you simpering fool” he spat at Jelgon before adding “tell the Baron I’ll be on my way with haste” as he slammed the door in Jelgon’s face.

The sun was shining above Hawkstorm Keep as the creatures of Frogmire Marsh buzzed all around. The Slime Knights trained in the walled-off courtyard outside, but inside the small castle, the air itself was somber as Prince Algor and Toron prepared for a journey to the Lair of the Slime Elder Magi. After their encounter with Quazarec in Bakurados Bay the two Slimes had plenty of time to talk on the return trip, and Toron had told the Prince EVERYTHING…The darkness inside Algor, his questions about the Magi, and the strange Skeleton Idols. Algor had a lot of questions, but Toron had few answers so they decided to pay a visit to Magi.

Another of the tribes involved in The Great Slime Wars. The Poisoner’s Guild lived up to their name. Fighting in the Wars with poisoned weapons and attacks, the Guild was not to be trifled with. Some legends even say the Poisoner’s Guild surrounded themselves with so many poisons some of them glowed with an aura of noxious gas. The Poisoner’s Guild had motivations not readily apparent to those outside of the Guild, but whatever they were after… it wasn’t good.

One of the tribes involved in The Great Slime Wars from the earliest history of Jalldoon. The Order of The Magi believed their magics should rule Jalldoon, and they worshipped a large gem emanating magical power that had been discovered deep within a mine in the Crystal Caverns. They fought tirelessly in the Wars against the other tribes with spells, curses, and magically taming the various beasts of primordial Jalldoon.

The Journal of Edmond Crawsly entry 183:
The next morning Merrick and I headed out on the road to adventure once again. The night before Merrick had heard from a traveler in the Compass that there was word of strange goings on in the Vallorian Jungle so we headed north on the road leading that way. The first day and night had passed peacefully, but on the second afternoon midway through the Inari Grasslands, we came across a covered wagon pulled by two massive Inari Striders with a broken wheel.

The Journal of Edmond Crawsly entry 181:
Once we set out from Karnok the journey to the Crossroads Tavern was fairly uneventful, and despite the difficulty of getting used to sleeping on the ground I was enjoying being in the wild with Merrick. We arrived at the Tavern around dusk, and after eating our meal we sat drinking and talking. As I enjoyed sitting in a chair instead of on a rock the door slammed open as every head in the tavern turned to see who was there, and much to my surprise Prince Algor of the Slime Kingdom, and his constant companion Toron had entered the tavern.
