Lore: Evil finds a way: Part 2

Continued from Part 1
The portal crackled around him as Kandross stepped out of the hole in the solid rock he had been magically pushed through, and as the portal closed behind him he knew the “Gods” were watching. Let them watch he thought, they wouldn’t be able to stop him…no one could except this damn Planet. Continue reading “Lore: Evil finds a way: Part 2 “

Who’s Who: Dragostia the Divine

Dragostia the Divine, goddess of love they say resides in Morgunborg Wood deep deep inside the roots of a large tree adorned with hearts carved in time immemorial by the earliest ancestors of today’s Jalldoonians. Legend has it those who seek true love should make the pilgrimage to this sacred tree, and once there leave an offering at its base. This offering is said to be the hearts of a mated pair of Shenguins, a vial of tears shed over the light of a Glowberry Candle, and a rod of unbending metal. Symbolizing lifelong commitment to their love, devastation at not being with their love, and an unbreaking devotion to their love. If Dragostia deems their love true and worthy she will bless the lover with their deepest desires.

The sun was shining above Hawkstorm Keep, and the creatures of Frogmire Marsh buzzed all around as the Slime Knights trained in the walled off courtyard, but inside the small castle, the air itself seemed to be somber as Prince Algor and Toron prepared for a journey to the Lair of the Slime Elder Magi. After their encounter with Quazarec in Bakurados Bay, the two Slimes had plenty of time to talk on the return trip, and Toron had told Algor EVERYTHING…The darkness inside Algor, his questions about the Magi, and the strange Skeleton Idols. Algor had a lot of questions, but Toron had little answers so they decided to pay a visit to Magi.

Location: The City of Ghosts

The City of Ghosts was once the thriving city of Balcust, but an evil Wizard cast a spell that killed every living being in the city at once. Trauma like that can only breed ghosts, and this is how Balcust got its new name. Hundreds of years later the city sits in semi ruin, and while most buildings still stand full of things of value it takes a truly brave adventurer to delve into the City of Ghosts.

Lore: Evil finds a way: Part 1

The lights swirled into view as Boshak regained consciousness . A rapping on his chamber door had pulled him out of the astral planes, and back to his room atop the Dark Citadel. Making his way to the door the Slime was annoyed “Who dares disturb my meditations? I left explicit Instructions to not be bothered” he snarled as the door opened to reveal the cowering form of Jelgon, his most loyal servant who stammered a bit before answering “s..s..sorry Master I told the Baron you was in here learning all that Magic stuff, but he said it was of the umtoast importance to summon you” . Boshak was disgusted at the idiocy of his minion “It’s utmost importance you simpering fool” he spat at Jelgon before adding “tell the Baron I’ll be on my way with haste” as he slammed the door in Jelgon’s face. Organizations: Religions of Jalldoon

Religion on Jalldoon is a mixed bag.The main religion is the worship of the Gods of Jalldoon with temples devoted to each scattered about the Planet, but Jalldoon is also home to any number of religions brought to the planet from various beings transported there through the space-time rips.

Over millennia the religions brought to the Planet have been warped to the point that practitioners of them would scarcely recognize their faith, but they have influenced the directions and minds of Jalldoon in their own ways.

Events: Humanity Appears on Jalldoon

The first Humans appeared on Jalldoon a few centuries after the first Slimes squished their way out of the Rip Dust. An entire community from Chichester England had been sucked into a Space-Time Rift and was brought to Jalldoon.

After several millennia the Human Race has spread over almost the entire planet, and become one of the more prominent races on Jalldoon. Much like humanity here on earth Jalldoonian humans are mixed bag of good seeds and bad apples.

Organizations: The Covenant of Crowns

Many generations ago a cabal of one hundred Generals plotted to conquer the entire Planet Jalldoon in what is known as the Great War. Each of these generals brought an army of one thousand soldiers, and with the largest force ever assembled began eliminating Kings, Queens, Emperors, Sultans, and any other rulers spread out across the Planet. As news traveled of this the various royalty of Jalldoon banded together in what would become known as the Covenant of Crowns. Even one hundred Generals with one thousand soldiers each is no match for the combined armies of Jalldoon, and after the war was over these leaders gathered and decided for the sake of the entire Planet laws must be put in place to prevent forces gathering in a bid to control all of Jalldoon.  Continue reading “Organizations: The Covenant of Crowns”

Lore: The Bronze God of Bakurados: Part 2

Continued from part 1

She knew it wasn’t considered “polite”, but the little girl continued to stare up at the motionless being for what seemed like ages. Levitating several feet above the ground, the creature in turn stared silently at the one tree that grew near the cliff edge. They were about a mile from shore, along a tall ridge away from the fishing villages on the outskirts of Bakurados Bay. The ancient, twisted tree stood on the tallest outcropping, and the little girl would sometimes come there alone to play. A large, purple-armored man hovering in front of the tree was not something she was expecting. Continue reading “Lore: The Bronze God of Bakurados: Part 2”

Lore: The Bronze God of Bakurados: Part 1

The carriage wheels squeaked on the dirt road as Toron looked out the window. He could see the large gates of Bakurados Bay in front of them as the ride pulled to a stop. Algor hopped out and started grabbing their packs from the back as he looked up at the massive wall surrounding the city before them. Finishing the last of his ale, Toron joined his companion as they marveled at the spires reaching towards the sky just beyond. The two Slimes had come to the Bay city to accept a shipment of weapons coming from Gato. Continue reading “Lore: The Bronze God of Bakurados: Part 1”
