Factions: The Children Of The Asp

The Children Of The Asp began on earth during the time of the Roman Conquest of Egypt. A charismatic Egyptian con man had convinced wealthy Romans and prominent Egyptians that he had the secrets of creation. Through a combination of drugged wine, and “meditative” rituals that slowly broke down the participant’s free wills he convinced his followers that everything we know was the created by a great snake shedding its skin, and someday the snake would return to devour its creation. Only those who followed the Asp’s wishes would be saved. In reality, he was out for personal gain which came in spades.

Creating a large commune on an island in the Red Sea he commanded his followers to spread out and recruit more with frequent messages from the “voice of the asp”, and as the cult grew it amassed more wealth and power. Most beings in the Universe don’t live forever so this con man eventually died, but his true believers carried on with the will of the Asp. After being nearly wiped out during a war with the Ottoman Empire in 1522 the cult retreated to the shadows, but they carried on slowly rebuilding and gaining power behind the scenes.

Now housed on the planet Nakahi, The Children Of The Asp send fleets out to recruit by any means necessary to further the flock. While not quite on the Council’s list of enemies the cult has had their runs in with both Council Troopers and anyone else foolish enough to cross their path.

Location: Castle Karlan

Tales tell of a Castle perched on the edge of the cliffs overlooking the entrance to Hoga. People say this decrepit pile of rocks is home to a powerful Vampire.
Even  though Jalldoon is for the most part a fairly tolerant place Vampires, Ghouls, Zombies, and any other creature straddling the line between living and dead are to be killed on sight. Anyone associated with these disgusting monsters is to be shunned by society as a whole, or worse executed so travelers to this remote and crumbling ruin are sparse to the say the least.

Who’s Who: High Imperator Ondska

Unlike the other regions of the Planet (which are ruled by a hodgepodge of various royalty) the entire Northern Region of Jalldoon is under the control of one man. High Imperator Ondska wields great influence in The Covenant of Crowns due to his position as ruler of such a large swath of the Planet, and this power is what keeps his nephew Baron Dracktholme from facing justice for his “alleged” crimes against the people of the Southwestern Region of Jalldoon.

Who’s Who: King Valdar

Squishy is the Slime that wears the crown. The Grand King of all Slimes is the latest in the royal line of kings going all the way back to the first slime to spawn from the elemental dust that is the mother of all Slimes. For years, ruling Slimedom was a fairly easy job for Slime Kings, but after the “birth” of Master Boshak, and the disappearance of his wife early in the current king’s reign the job became fraught with peril. Fortunately for good Slimes everywhere, King Valdar is fully capable of dealing with threats both inside and from outside the world of Slimes, and has done a wonderful job keeping his subjects safe from the despots currently terrorizing the land.
